THE HEARTAGRAM
The Heartagram has been HIM's symbol from the very beginning. I, personally, find it very beautiful and original. At first, one might not understand the meaning of the heartagram but I think it's not that hard to understand.. The Heartagram is a combination of two symbols: a HEART and a PENTAGRAM, the heart representing the good side and the pentagram the bad side. Ville Valo, the frontman, says that the members of HIM have pretty bad memories so they couldn't think of having individual symbols - like Led Zep. "The Heartagram stands for HIM as a band, as an entity. And for love metal in general," he adds. Love metal - a music genre defined by HIM. Harder than titanium, softer than pure gold, quicker than silver. Red hot or cold as steel. Love Metal.
